Since its inception in 2000, Amsons Group has evolved into a diversified regional conglomerate, strategically expanding to meet growing market demands across key sectors in East and Southern Africa.

2000 – 2012

2000

Pan Africa Cement

Launched to meet the growing demand for cement in East Africa and lay the foundation for Amsons’ industrial focus.
It marked the group’s entry into large-scale manufacturing and infrastructure development.

2002 & 2003

East Africa warehousing, Camel Oil and African Energy founded

2002 – Camel Oil (T) Ltd
Established to provide petroleum products locally and across neighboring countries and serve the energy market with reliable fuel solutions.
It quickly became one of the region’s trusted brands in fuel supply and logistics.

2003 – African Energy (T) Ltd
Entered the power and energy sector to support national energy security and industrial growth.
The company focuses on delivering sustainable and efficient energy solutions across Tanzania.

2003 – East Africa Warehousing (T) Ltd
Formed to support logistics and storage needs for group operations and third-party clients.
It plays a crucial role in ensuring supply chain efficiency across various sectors.

2005 & 2006

Amsons Industries, Amsons Properties and Farion founded

2005 – Amsons Industries (T) Ltd (Camel Cement)
Built to strengthen Amsons’ footprint in the cement sector through a recognizable and competitive local brand.
Camel Cement has become a key player in the Tanzanian construction materials market.

2005 – Amsons Properties (T) Ltd
Created to invest in and develop commercial and residential properties, supporting urban growth.
The company contributes to modern real estate infrastructure in high-demand areas.

2006 – Farion Trading Ltd
Established to serve the needs of Inland Container Depots in Dar es Salaam Ports.
It enhances port efficiency through specialized logistics and container handling services.

Cool Apartments was founded

2009 – Cool Apartments (T) Ltd

Expanded into Mozambique to establish a regional oil supply network.

Tanzania Clou and Kalahari Trans founded

2018 – Tanzania Cloud (T) Ltd
Launched to diversify into electric meter assembly and manufacturing.

2018 – Kalahari Trans Zambia Ltd
Created to improve cross-border logistics and transport in Eastern Africa.

Amsons Haulage and Kalahari Petroleum founded

Cam Gas was founded and Mbeya Cement Acquired
