Amsons Group, through its subsidiary Camel Oil, has provided assistance by constructing a maternity and child ward, which cost over Tshs 1.6 billion ($700k). This ward, named Barka Ward, was inaugurated in 2017 by the then Vice President of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, and the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa. To date, this ward has helped more than 50,000 mothers and children.
